PickrMate takes the night shift
Logistikk Inside visited a 3PL in Askim where PickrMate picks from two AutoStore ports through evenings, nights and weekends.

At a 3PL warehouse in Askim, PickrMate is connected to AutoStore ports. It picks items from bins outside normal staffed hours and sends them to a buffer for packing. Same-day orders for the Oslo region come first. Remaining capacity goes to orders the system judges suitable for automated picking.
According to the customer's COO, the robot covers the equivalent of 2.5–3 people over a 24-hour cycle at roughly the same cost, and picking errors are close to zero.
PickrMate runs on a rail, so one robot can cover a large area. An AI model screens which SKUs suit robotic picking, based on their physical properties and the warehouse's priorities.
